Job summary

Professional Engineering Consultants is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with design on multiple projects, perform standard engineering calculations, and prepare design deliverables. The role uses BIM/CAD software, hand calculations, and computer-based calculations.

Under supervision of a Project Engineer, you will draft/model engineering designs, coordinate with staff, and help produce construction documents in compliance with building codes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Engineering or related field.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Student entering junior or senior year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations by hand and by computer software.
• Drafting/modeling of engineering design.
• Coordinate with other design staff.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications in compliance with codes/design criteria.
• Review project deliverables for compliance with standards.
• Organize project information per corporate workflows.
• Other projects may be added at the company's discretion.
