Job summary

Stantec seeks an Architectural Designer to join our Buildings practice in Pittsburgh, delivering architecture, building engineering, and interior design within a multi-sector portfolio.

You will work under the guidance of a Senior Designer or Architect, with licensure not required but encouraged in the short term. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows will support 3D modelling and detailed documentation.

• Licensure is not required but is expected to be part of your short-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the Project Manager informed of progress on expectations, deadlines, and deliverables that fall within their responsibility.
• Assists in monitoring and coordination of consultant work and deadlines.
• Assist project teams in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
• Utilize Autodesk Revit and other BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
• Prepare and revises documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
• Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
• Assist in contract administration tasks.
• Attend project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
• Implement sustainable design principles into the building design and surrounding environment.
