Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's Architecture Internship in Chicago involves collaborating with project teams to create design work across corporate, healthcare, research and other sectors. You will contribute to design development, construction documentation and specifications, and assist in solving technical problems on live projects.

The role requires enrollment in architecture programs, strong communication and leadership, and familiarity with Office tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
• NAAB accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education or technical program in a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active involvement in campus or community activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow in the field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Design, construction documentation and specification development.
• Assist in developing solutions to technical problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture

NAAB accreditation

Currently enrolled in related post-secondary program

GPA 3.0 or higher preferred

Prior internship/related consulting experience
