Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc is seeking an Architectural Barrier Testing Specialist to perform field inspections of federal facilities in Anchorage, AK (JBER) to identify accessibility barriers and ensure ABA, UFAS, and ADA compliance. US citizenship and a successful background/drug screen are required.

Duties include documenting findings with field notes and photos, using levels and slope meters, preparing detailed reports, and advising design teams and USACE on corrective

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and thorough documentation.
• Strong reporting and communication with design teams and USACE.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital inspection tools.
• Ability to work independently in the field and in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of USACE facilities to identify architectural barriers to accessibility.
• Evaluate site and building elements for ADA, UFAS, and ABA compliance.
• Document findings with field notes, photographs, measurements, and detailed reports.
• Use specialized tools to verify accessibility requirements and prepare written reports with corrective actions.
• Communicate findings to design teams and USACE representatives to support mitigation planning.
• Participate in project meetings and provide guidance on accessibility improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of current accessibility codes and federal building requirements.
