Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc seeks an Architectural Barrier Testing Specialist to perform field accessibility inspections for federal facilities in San Francisco and Anchorage.

You will assess entrances, restrooms, signage, and paths of travel for ADA and UFAS compliance, document findings, and collaborate with design teams and USACE representatives to plan corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management.
• Federal project experience preferred.
• Experience in facility inspection and accessibility assessment.
• Knowledge of construction practices and specs.
• Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools.
• CASp/ICC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and assessments of facilities to identify architectural barriers.
• Evaluate site elements for ADA, UFAS, ABA, and DoD standards.
• Document findings with notes, photos, measurements, and reports.
• Use digital levels, slope meters, and measuring devices for compliance.
• Prepare reports outlining deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Communicate with design teams and USACE representatives.
• Participate in meetings providing expert accessibility guidance.
• Maintain knowledge of current accessibility codes and policies.
