Job summary

Salt & Light Ministries is seeking a Director of People & Culture to partner with leadership in shaping HR strategy, recruiting for current and future needs, and maintaining compliance across federal, state, and local laws. The role focuses on developing a safe, spiritually healthy environment while growing the organization’s culture and talents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Human Resources with preference given to candidates with a master’s
• Minimum 3 years of human resource experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to execute HR strategy including talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession
• Review training, compliance, safety, licensure, and assessments
• Facilitate hiring and collaborate with managers on skills/competencies
• Conduct background checks and new hire orientation
• Administer HR programs: compensation, benefits, leave, discipline, investigations, performance
• Handle inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
• Attend disciplinary meetings and investigations
• Maintain employment law compliance and policies
• Stay informed on HR trends and best practices
• Create learning and development initiatives
• Align mission/vision with culture and values
