Job summary

Perkins&Will in Minneapolis is seeking an Architect III with 5–8 years of healthcare project experience to lead design efforts and coordinate multi-discipline teams.

You will develop design concepts, supervise preparation of drawings, and ensure documentation meets standards while collaborating with clients and consultants, in a fast-paced, inclusive studio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related discipline required.
  • 5-8 years of healthcare project experience.
  • LEED GA within 6 months of hire and architectural licensure expected.

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of project complexity to contribute to team success.
  • Develops innovative design ideas as part of the design team.
  • Coordinates drawings for schematic design through construction documents.
  • Analyzes product research and material selections.
  • Prepares client and non-client design presentations and materials.
  • Manages tasks within schedule and budget with organization.
  • Reviews work for accuracy and code compliance per the Project Delivery Manual.
  • Supports growth of junior staff.
  • Maintains curiosity about design and the industry.
  • Takes increasing ownership in project team tasks.
  • Participates in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
  • Keeps open, proactive communication with team and leaders.
  • Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants.

Job description

Common and Baseline Responsibilities as an Architect III:
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
  • Develops creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.
  • Coordinates drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Analyzes product research and identifies material selections.
  • Takes an active role in crafting client and non-client design presentation sand prepares corresponding materials.
  • Implements a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of schedule and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent way.
  • Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
  • Supports growth of others.
  • Expresses curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large.
  • Takes increasing ownership on tasks within project teams and studio activities.
  • Participates in design reviews, charettes and pin-ups.
  • Keeps open and proactive communication with all and is inspiring within team and designated team leader.
  • Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants.

Requirements
