IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking an Architect II in Emeryville, CA to evaluate, select, and apply architectural techniques across all project phases. You will supervise teams and work closely with clients to develop preliminary designs and ensure adherence to project requirements.

The role requires proficiency in Revit, BIM workflows, and strong oral and written communication, with experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with NAAB accreditation.
• Experience in architectural office is expected.
• Knowledge of building codes and design concepts essential.
• Experience in Life Sciences industry preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess project requirements with the Project Manager to determine scope, budget and staffing.
• Develop design documents and ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead design phases: programming, master planning, schematic, preliminary and construction docs.
• Lead architectural construction administration activities including bulletins, RFIs, and site observations.
• Coordinate with related disciplines and attend job and construction meetings.
• Use Revit to develop architectural documentation aligned with BIM/CAD standards.
