Job summary

La La Land Cafe in Dallas, TX seeks an Architect to join the Architecture and Development team. The role focuses on developing drawings for new store openings and remodels, applying the prototype and brand standards under the Director of Architecture.

You will coordinate with third-party drafting partners, review for code compliance, support permitting, and collaborate with interior design on layouts and finish packages. Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years in commercial architecture required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial architecture; retail/restaurant/hospitality a plus.
• Working knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural drawings and documentation for new store openings and remodels, applying prototype and brand standards.
• Coordinate with third-party drafting partners to keep construction documents accurate and on schedule.
• Review drawings for code compliance and consistency with brand and prototype standards.
• Support permitting efforts by preparing and revising plans as needed for jurisdictional requirements.
• Collaborate with the interior design team on layouts and finish packages.
• Assist with site visits to assess conditions and address construction questions.
• Help maintain and update standard details, specifications, and prototype plans.
