Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking experienced architects to deliver architectural design and related services for Navy, Marine Corps and other supported commands. You will lead full-lifecycle design, provide technical leadership, and ensure contract compliance across a diverse MILCON portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-lifecycle architectural design for a diverse portfolio of facilities, from client programming and space planning to sustainable design, interiors and site integration.
  • Serve as a Design Manager, providing technical leadership and oversight for multi-disciplinary design projects and lead charrettes to establish requirements and develop concepts.
  • Develop project scopes and perform QA/QC reviews on drawings and specs from external consultants; ensure all work meets contract requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide post-construction support by reviewing submittals, managing RFIs, and conducting on-site inspections to maintain design intent.
  • Leverage state-of-the-art design software to produce accurate models and ensure compliance with building codes and ADA regulations.

Our Architects provide independent, timely, and professional architectural products and services, consultation, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other supported Commands. You will be working on a variety of special projects and critical military construction (MILCON), and be involved in the demolition, maintenance, space utilization, and development of facilities.

As an Architect, you will:

  • Lead full-lifecycle architectural design for a diverse portfolio of facilities - from initial client programming and space planning to sustainable design, interiors, and site integration.
  • Serve as a Design Manager, providing technical leadership and oversight for multi-disciplinary design projects, and lead project charrettes to establish requirements and develop concept designs.
  • Develop project scopes and perform rigorous QA/QC reviews on drawings and specifications from external consultants. Serve as the Contracting Officer’s Representative to ensure all work meets contract requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide critical post-construction support by reviewing submittals, managing RFIs, and conducting on-site inspections to resolve field issues and maintain design intent.
  • Leverage state-of-the-art design software to produce accurate models and ensure strict compliance with local building codes, ADA regulations, and specialized client guidelines

Highly Desirable: Registered Architect License and 4-10 years of Architectural Design experience

Key Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
  • A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
  • Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov
  • Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
