The successful candidate will work directly for the Air Force Services Center (AFSVC), serving as a technical authority and project manager to provide enterprise-level oversight and execution for assigned Air Force (AF) funded Services design and construction portfolios worldwide. The incumbent exercises independent, expert judgment to ensure cost effective, sustainable, and functionally efficient construction methodologies for complex, multi-million-dollar facilities. Serves as the technical authority conducting comprehensive design analysis, and global facility criteria. Resolves complex engineering and construction challenges where traditional guidelines are inadequate. Serves as an advisor for enterprise level functional changes and deviations from standard criteria to meet unique operational, financial, or geographic constraints. Develops and coordinates Air Force design and construction criteria, architectural design standards, and sustainable construction methodologies to optimize enterprise operational costs. Develop and coordinate complex execution strategies for global professional services. Makes recommendations on the legal and regulatory application of diverse funding streams across all programming phases. Develops, reviews, coordinates, and approves Statements of Work (SOW). Serves as the preeminent architectural advisor to the Chief Architect, Execution Branch, NAF Capital Improvements Division. Performs other related duties as required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Requires a professional degree in architecture (Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture) from an accredited program. Requires senior-level expertise in integrating complex architectural-engineering disciplines into large-scale military facilities, paired with a deep understanding of statutory restrictions regarding federal funding. Must possess a proven ability to negotiate, defend, and justify critical design-to-cost strategies and complex projects.
To possess and maintain a current, valid Professional Registration as an Architect in at least one of the 50 United States is preferred.
