Job summary

Terracon in Ohio seeks an Archaeological Field Technician to support surveys, testing, and excavations. You will assist with fieldwork, artifact collection, and documentation under supervision, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role involves using common archaeological tools, basic stratigraphy, and reporting findings in standardized forms. Familiarity with GPS and MS Office is preferred; a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology or related field.
• Field school completion from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of artifact identification, soils, and stratigraphy.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office programs.
• Able to use Global Positioning Systems
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities
