Job summary

Esri, a leading GIS software company, is seeking a GIS subject matter expert to advise customers on complex business challenges using Esri GIS technology. You will join an account team and demonstrate the value of GIS, identifying the right analysis tools and communicating solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You will build relationships, deliver technical demonstrations, and help plan sales strategies while traveling 25-50% domestically or internationally to support

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
• 1+ years of experience working in or supporting local government.
• Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud).
• Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design with sales/business development awareness.
• Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts/environments (Azure or AWS).
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• Ability to travel 25-50% domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships. Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software as part of the account team. Help plan and execute sales strategies.
• Be an expert. Become a subject matter expert of local government and ArcGIS; communicate Esri messages to technical and non-technical customers.
• Solve problems. Craft and propose GIS solutions addressing business challenges; define and deliver strategies aligning Esri technology with customer needs.
• Tell our story. Design technical demonstrations and presentations; share best practices for use, deployment, and administration of Esri technology.
