Job summary

DUIT is seeking a Senior GIS Programmer for our Baltimore County operations. The role focuses on developing and supporting a comprehensive GIS program within the Office of Information Technology and Office of Planning.

Hybrid work is available with remote in accompanying coordination; candidates must pass security checks for Baltimore County. We seek seasoned developers with ArcGIS and database skills to upgrade models and build AddIns.

Qualifications

• Five+ years developing and modifying applications (J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, Python).
• Three+ years with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API’s, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Esri SDKs, ArcSDE.
• Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python.
• Strong SQL knowledge including triggers and stored procedures.
• Experience in developing reports with SSRS and Power BI.
• Relational database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.

We have immediate openings, and are lookinga qualified Senior GIS Programmer with 5 or more years of experience to join our certified, awarding winning, and innovative IT team! Job location is in Baltimore County.

The Senior GIS Programmer will perform application development and support activities supporting the Office of Information Technology’s GIS Program and the Office of Planning for Baltimore County. The programmer will assist in the upgrade and development of an Agricultural Preservation Model, upgrading the current custom ArcMap AddIn (C#/Python ) to an ArcGIS Pro AddIn. This position follows a hybrid work schedule established in coordination with the hiring manager after onboarding, training and issuance of equipment. The consultant may work remotely up to 2 days per week, equivalent to approximately 40% remote and 60% onsite. Fully remote or out-of-state employment is not authorized at this time.

• Minimum of three (3) years working with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API’s, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Esri SDK’s, and ArcSDE
• Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python
• Strong Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Triggers, and Stored Procedures.
• Development of reports using SSRS, Power BI
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and concepts (Oracle, SQL Server preferred)
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field and five years’ experience in systems analysis, change management analysis, project management, program analysis, or a closely related field.
