Blossom Tech Solutions seeks a seasoned DBMS specialist with ArcGIS experience to design, optimize, and support critical geospatial databases. The role blends advanced database programming with GIS workflows, ensuring reliability and performance in a hybrid Maryland setting.

The ideal candidate will have six years in DBMS analysis, hands-on ArcGIS Pro work, and strong SQL Server/Oracle skills, with the ability to support end users and publish GIS data efficiently.

• Six years of experience in DBMS analysis and programming.
• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle.
• GIS-related DBMS experience preferred.
• ArcGIS Pro experience and GIS data publishing helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Perform senior-level DBMS analysis and programming.
• Design, develop, maintain, troubleshoot applications utilizing DBMSs.
• Support and work with current DBMS technologies, including internals.
• Administer and support enterprise geodatabases.
• Perform spatial data design and maintenance.
• Support GIS data publishing and GIS-related DBMS workflows.
• Integrate DB solutions with ArcGIS Pro.
• Support end users with software applications and provide technical assistance.
• Ensure database reliability, performance and continuity.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while managing priorities.

Position

Database management system with ArcGIS experience

Hybrid - Pikesville, MD and remote (1-2 days onsite - subject to change as per client policy)

Job Role

This position is a technical role with the candidate having real experience in database management systems analysis and programming, application design, GIS-related database support, and end-user support. The candidate should be a highly skilled, dependable, and self-directed professional to support the design, administration, analysis, programming, and optimization of critical database systems; and should be able to work independently, manage priorities with minimal supervision, troubleshoot complex issues, and consistently deliver accurate, reliable results.

Important Note on Requirements

The General Experience and Specialized Experience mentioned below are a must. Candidate having Preferred Experience and Highly Desired Experience will be given more weightage. There will be two rounds of interview before a decision is made.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Perform senior-level database management systems analysis and programming
• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot applications utilizing a variety of database management systems

REQUIREMENTS

Education (must have)

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another related scientific or technical discipline, or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field, in addition to the experience requirements listed below.

General Experience (must have)

• Must have six (6) years of experience in database management systems (DBMS) analysis and programming.

Specialized Experience (must have)

• Must have at least three (3) years of experience using current DBMS technologies, including:
• experience with DBMS internals
• experience working with SQL Server and Oracle

Preferred Qualifications (good to have)

• At least three (3) years of experience managing GIS-related DBMS. Specifically experience with:
• spatial data design and maintenance
• GIS data publishing and support
• integration with ArcGIS Pro
• At least one (1) year of experience using ArcGIS Pro to create shapefiles and GeoPackages
• At least five (5) years of experience supporting end users with software applications
