Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking an Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) for short-term counseling on military installations. The role lasts from May 15 to September 15, coinciding with the school summer break.

Counselors provide a range of behavioral services, conduct assessments, and offer support to military families. A Master's degree and independent licensure are required. Experience with military culture is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in mental health, social work, or a related field.
• Independent state licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Ability to work full time, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide non‑medical, solution‑focused counseling directly to adults, children, and youth of service members.
• Conduct assessments, brief counseling, consultations, action planning, referrals, and follow‑up.
• Deliver health and wellness presentations and participate in health fairs.
