Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader in Maplewood, NJ. Lead a tree care crew, perform pruning, cabling, rigging, removals, and operate equipment safely and efficiently.

Experience: at least 3 years tree climbing (DdRT/SRT) with aerial lift; valid license (Class B CDL preferred). Must work outdoors year-round; strong leadership and client-relations skills expected.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver’s license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Able to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Proactive, team-oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all arboriculture tasks including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, removals, and equipment maintenance.
• Supervising and managing crews while delivering tree care services as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager.
• Ensuring crew members are trained for each designated job assignment and that work complies with industry standards.
• Communicating with clients, answering questions, and building relationships on-site.
• Maintaining a positive, cooperative attitude on the job site.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)

• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
