Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Auburn, MA is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to guide a tree care crew in pruning, cabling, rigging, and removals while safely operating equipment. You will lead a team, ensuring high standards, and building client relationships.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of tree climbing with DdRT or SRT and aerial lift experience; a Class B CDL is preferred. This role is on site and offers growth within a safety-first professional environment.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 3 years of tree climbing experience (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Strong safety mindset and teamwork skills are essential.
• Valid driver's license; Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all arboriculture tasks (pruning, cabling/bracing, rigging, removals).
• Maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Supervise and manage crews; train team members for each job assignment.
• Ensure work meets industry and company standards; communicate with clients.
• Demonstrate passion for nature and the outdoors.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
