Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Charlotte, NC seeks an Arborist Crew Leader to guide a tree care crew, ensure safe and efficient services, and develop team performance. You will supervise pruning, cabling, rigging, removals, and equipment use while fostering a cooperative on-site environment.

The role requires at least 3 years of tree climbing experience with DdRT/SRT and a valid license with clean MVR; CDL preferred. You must be a motivated self-starter who thrives outdoors year-round.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, removals, and maintaining equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site.
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services.
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each job assignment.
• Ensuring all work meets industry and company standards.
• Communicating with clients and building relationships on site.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)

• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (Class B CDL preferred)
