Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader in Southampton, NY. You will lead a tree care crew, performing pruning, cabling, bracing, rigging, removals, and equipment operation while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Candidates should have 3+ years of tree climbing and aerial lift experience, a valid driver’s license, and a professional attitude. This role supports growth opportunities within Bartlett’s safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 3 years of tree climbing experience and aerial lift experience.
• Ability to supervise and manage crews while performing tree care services.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, removals, and equipment operation.
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site.
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager.
• Ensuring crew members are trained for each job assignment.
• Ensuring work complies with industry and company standards.
• Communicating with clients and building relationships.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
