Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader in Sheffield, MA. Lead a tree care crew to perform pruning, cabling, rigging, removals and related tasks safely and efficiently, while developing team skills and maintaining equipment.

The role requires at least three years of tree climbing experience with DdRT or SRT, plus aerial lift operation and a valid driver's license. Excellent communication and client-relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of tree climbing with DdRT or SRT
• Experience operating aerial lifts
• Valid driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all arboriculture tasks, including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, removals
• Maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts)
• Supervise and manage crews, ensuring proper training for each job assignment
• Communicate with clients and build relationships on site
• Contribute to a safety-first culture and uphold company standards

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
