Job summary

Landsystems, part of Monarch Landscape Companies, seeks an Arbor Production Manager based in Encinitas, CA or Los Angeles, CA with frequent travel across Southern California. You will work with the Branch Manager to drive project and employee performance, ensure quality outcomes, and manage labor and safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold ISA Arborist and Tree Worker certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months), CPR, and OSHA credentials; bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver license required.
• CDL Class B with Air Brakes endorsement preferred.
• ISA Arborist certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• ISA Tree Worker Specialist certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• CPR certification required.
• Flagger/Traffic Control Technician license preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour certification within 1 year.
• ISA TRAQ certification within 1 year.
• CTSP certification within 1 year.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope of work, ensuring projects completed on time and within budget.
• Communicate between internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with Production Coordinator on scheduling, equipment needs, and unfinished projects.
• Monitor daily tasks and projects to ensure completion.
• Routinely monitor sites for quality and safety compliance.
• Ensure Arbor Crew Lead conducts daily safety inspections and tailgate meetings.
• Enforce proper use and storage of company property.
• Perform, demonstrate and train on arbor climbing tasks.
• Climb trees safely and operate related equipment.
• Manage labor and budgeting to meet margins.
• Review and approve employee timecards.
• Hire or terminate staff as needed with District Manager kept informed.
• On-board and train new employees.
• Oversee safe operation of shredding/chipping equipment and arbor vehicles.
• Apply chemicals per state regulations.
• Conduct tree assessments and bidding via CRM databases.
• Assist Project Manager and Estimator with site inventories.
• Maintain punctuality and adhere to dress code and weather policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
