Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage all AR transactions, ensure accurate posting of customer payments, and support month-end close. You will interact with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls in a fast-paced fintech environment.

The role is office-based in Ontario, CA, with a Monday–Friday schedule and full-time/contract-to-hire potential. Benefits and professional growth opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable.
• Hands-on experience posting customer payments (ACH, credit card, checks).
• Proficiency in bank reconciliations for AR activity.
• Experience with month-end close for AR.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles related to AR.
• Ability to research and resolve payment issues and chargebacks.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Apply all customer payments into the accounting system accurately and promptly.
• Manage full credit card process, subscriptions and declines.
• Complete bank reconciliations for AR transactions.
• Research and resolve chargebacks, declines, and short payments.
• Execute monthly AR close and AR reconciliations.
• Suggest improvements to AR processes and automation.
• Assist audits with AR documentation and inquiries.
• Support special AR/finance projects as needed.
• Maintain AR manual and document procedures clearly.
• Back up Collections staff and assist with collections when required.
• Handle escalations from sellers, lenders, and Customer Care.
