This role involves ensuring accurate and timely collection of payments from consumers, insurance companies, and other payers. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work to resolve billing issues, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records of transactions to ensure financial health and compliance with industry standards.This is an On-Site position only (Hampton Roads Geographic Area)* Managing accounts receivable accounts, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of payments. Reviewing and processing insurance claims, verifying patient information and coding for accuracy. Communicating with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies or issues. Performing account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and applying appropriate payments or adjustments. Maintaining patient account balances, assisting with follow-up on unpaid claims, and issuing statements as needed. Ensuring adherence to healthcare billing regulations and policies. Assisting with month-end closing activities and financial reporting. Collaborating with other departments (e.g., billing, coding, and customer service) to streamline AR processes. Addressing and resolving any patient or insurance inquiries related to billing and payment issues.
