Job summary

Gallagher in San Diego is hiring an AR Specialist to join our growing team. You will handle daily AR tasks, process payments, and support month-end close while delivering accurate financial information to clients and internal stakeholders.

Under general supervision, you’ll use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and other ERP systems to ensure timely postings, reconciliations, and reporting with a focus on accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in accounting, accounts receivable, billing, or finance operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or another ERP; willingness to learn Dynamics 365.
• Strong Excel skills, ability to work with large data sets, and prepare supporting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable functions for trusts, including invoicing, payment application, collections, and account research.
• Process and record deposits (ACH, check, electronic payments) with accurate coding and posting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, customer transactions, and related accounting activity.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AR aging, revenue entries, and schedules.
• Communicate with clients about payments, balances, and reporting; support inquiries promptly.
