Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an Accounting Professional – Accounts Receivable to support the North America Customer Finance organization. The role oversees AR, cash application, reconciliations, and related accounting for a USD 6–7B annual portfolio and partners with banks, IT, and service providers to drive accuracy and automation.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in AR/cash application, strong SAP experience, and a degree in accounting/finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in A/R, cash application, or related finance function.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, subledger activity, GL postings, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency with SAP or comparable ERP; experience with SAP A/R and clearing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Accounts Receivable and cash application activities, including payment review, application, reconciliation, exception handling, and customer account clearing.
• Review bank files, SAP downloads, automated postings, RPA outputs, and cash application results for accuracy and timely processing.
• Research, analyze, and resolve complex customer account discrepancies including unapplied cash, short/overpayments, and allocation issues.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, intercompany transfers, reclassifications, accruals, and related accounting transactions.
• Support month-end close activities for Accounts Receivable including reconciliations, KPI analysis, aging review, and timely resolution of open items.
• Serve as liaison between Cash Applications, Customer Finance, banks, IT, and business operations to resolve issues and ensure process continuity.
• Analyze operational KPIs, identify trends, explain financial impacts to stakeholders, and recommend corrective actions.
• Flexibility to support month-end/quarter-end close and potentially extended hours.
