Type: Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Fully Onsite

Compensation: $20 - $25 / Hour ($50-55k upon conversion)

Hours: 7AM-4PM

Position Summary

A growing organization is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support daily accounts receivable operations. This role partners closely with internal teams and external customers to ensure accurate payment processing, collections, and accounts receivable administration. The Accounting Assistant will also serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to receivables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process daily cash deposits
  • Apply customer payments and research/resolve payment discrepancies
  • Conduct daily collections and provide bi-weekly account status reporting
  • Process credit card payments
  • Issue W-9s, certificates of insurance (COIs), and lien releases
  • Maintain compliance within vendor portals
  • Provide backup support to team members as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • AIA Billing
  • 1–2 years of accounts receivable and/or collections experience
Compensation & Benefits
  • Company-paid medical, dental, life insurance, and long-term disability (upon conversion)
  • 15 days of paid time off (PTO)
  • 10 paid holidays annually

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
