Job summary

Together Women's Health, LLC is seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee AR processes, optimize collections, and ensure accuracy across payer and patient balances. The role collaborates with billing, coding, and Athena EMR to streamline workflows and resolve issues.

You will lead the AR team, mentor staff, analyze metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports for leadership. Experience with Athena EMR and attention to detail are essential to drive performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, with preference for Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business or other related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in revenue cycle management operations, with focus on accounts receivable.
• Experience in women’s healthcare-related specialties preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to problem-solve.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and manage projects to completion.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• 1+ year of Athena Healthcare EMR experience preferred.
• AAPC or AHIMA Certification is a plus (e.g. CPC/CCS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end AR processes, including claim resubmissions, denials management, and patient collections.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce days in AR and improve collection rates.
• Monitor AR aging reports and address issues or delays.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues affecting AR processes, including posting issues and payor correspondence.
• Provide training and support to staff on Athena EMR functionalities related to revenue cycle management.
• Lead and mentor the AR and Customer Service team, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
• Collaborate with charge entry and other functions to resolve AR-related issues.
• Analyze AR metrics and KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present regular AR performance reports with action plans for challenges.
