Job summary

Care New England in Warwick, RI seeks an Accounts Receivable Payment Specialist to ensure accurate posting, reconciliation, and adjustments across AR systems. You will collaborate with Care New England sites from registration to accounting to guarantee precise postings.

The role requires strong problem solving, attention to reconciliation, and meticulous documentation, handling insurance/patient payments, refunds, and month-end support with the Revenue Cycle team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; six months job-related experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and Meaningful Use regulations.

Responsibilities

• Post insurance and patient payments into AR systems, including insurance denials.
• Process insurance and patient refunds promptly.
• Balance daily payments and ensure accuracy in AR systems.
• Use balancing procedures to maintain monthly finance reports.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and GL accuracy with Accounting.
• Review outstanding refunds and coordinate with Revenue Cycle to resolve issues.
• Retrieve, verify, and reconcile third-party payments and ensure proper posting of co-pays/deductibles.
