Job summary

Nelson-Jameson, a trusted partner in the food manufacturing industry since 1947, is seeking an AR Manager to lead the full order-to-cash process. You will direct a team, collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Accounting to ensure disciplined credit management while protecting cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive AR/credit/collections experience in a B2B environment.
• 2+ years supervisory or management experience leading an AR/credit/collections team.
• Experience driving credit management, ERP systems, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead AR team and develop skills.
• Oversee order-to-cash cycle, billing accuracy, collections, and cash application.
• Manage Nuvo credit system, configure limits, and train the team.
• Track DSO, aging trends, and cash forecasts.
• Evaluate customer creditworthiness and adjust terms as needed.
• Lead conversations on slow-pay and credit risk with Sales/CS.
• Improve processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Document AR policies/procedures and escalation paths.
• Prepare AR aging, bad debt analysis, and dashboards for leadership.
• Serve as AR liaison during audits.
• Allocate workload and foster accountability.
