Job summary

Intuit’s Accounting team in San Diego is seeking a Lead Accountant to oversee global AR accounting operations, including month-end close, billing, and SOX compliance. The role drives AR transformation, supports audits, and coordinates with multiple geographies and platforms.

The successful candidate will bring 7+ years in AR/accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and experience with Oracle or BlackLine. This hybrid role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and process automation

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience including journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Deep knowledge of order-to-cash / accounts receivable in multi-currency, multi-entity environments.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and applying it to high-volume transactions.
• Hands-on SOX compliance experience with external auditors.
• Experience driving process improvement and automation in accounting operations.
• Ability to translate accounting concepts for non-accounting stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Oracle and BlackLine preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across functions to achieve accounting objectives and drive issues to resolution with transparency.
• Review and approve month-end journal entries and reconciliations, assess variances and risks.
• Prepare month-end and quarter-end flux commentary on AR balances.
• Oversee billing operations and adjustments, including invoices and memos.
• Own AR SOX controls and maintain process documentation.
• Coordinate audit deliverables and walkthroughs for AR.
• Own end-to-end AR processes including Shared Services Center in India.
• Serve as escalation point for AR accounting issues and provide technical guidance.
• Lead AR transformation initiatives including automation and acquisitions integration.
