Job summary

ABB Optical Group is seeking a Team Lead for the lab to ensure timely, accurate processing and cross-training of staff. You will oversee daily activities, delegate tasks, and coach team members while aligning with department standards and safety guidelines.

The role requires you to drive performance through data review, training, and effective communication, with a focus on productivity, quality, and cost efficiency in a warehouse-like lab environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to follow procedures and work both independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years and six (6) months of optical manufacturing experience
• Excellent oral and written communication

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day lab function and area activities
• Delegate tasks and assign duties
• Evaluate employees and provide feedback
• Collaborate with management to set standards and procedures
• Analyze performance reports and drive improvements
• Schedule rotation of employees across key processes
• Share daily production stats with staff
• Ensure safety and training compliance
• Maintain clean, organized work areas for shift transition
