Job summary

ABB Optical Group is seeking an Optical Lab Technician for the Digital Eye Lab (DEL). The role supports timely processing of products with emphasis on a core function, training after six months, and opportunities to perform additional functions as needed.

The position is full-time in a manufacturing environment with measured performance thresholds and strict SOP adherence. Responsibilities include frame tracing, matching paperwork, packaging, and operating finishing equipment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with no prior work experience required.
• Ability to follow procedure and contribute as an individual and a team member.
• Minimum six (6) months experience in same or similar position prior to skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Use a tracing machine to measure frame; Print and match paperwork to trays and locate lenses.
• Invoice and package finished jobs; scan and bin jobs for shipping.
• Sort and receive frames into the system; place frames in colored trays.
• Operate finishing equipment and maintain tools; mount and align lenses in frames.
• Edge lenses and tint to specified colors; inspect and prep for AR coating.
