Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Coordinator II, Accounts Receivable – Compliance in Richmond, VA. You will manage new or escalated collection accounts, support receivable processing across desks, enter accounts into CAMs, and assist with general ledger tasks.

The role emphasizes accuracy, urgency, and strong customer service in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include daily payment processing, documentation collection, and coordination with stores and external partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years business experience (including 1+ year Accounts Receivable).
• Proficient Excel skills and strong communication abilities.
• Experience with ERP systems or cloud ERP solutions is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work with internal/external partners and escalate when needed.

Responsibilities

• Research new collection items and gather documentation to enter CAMs accounts.
• Execute daily incoming payment processes to ensure receivables are fulfilled.
• Perform general ledger tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Facilitate refund workflows and process vendor invoices as required.
• Provide effective communication and support to stores, customers, and partners.
• Initiate written correspondence with customers related to collections.
• Support projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
