Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking an Accounts Receivable specialist to administer and collect on major retail Home Center customer accounts for Oldcastle APG. The role focuses on oversight, research, and resolution of open balances within a hybrid work setup based in Atlanta, GA.

You will establish strong relationships with customers and sales, perform collection calls, and handle refunds and account adjustments while ensuring compliance with corporate credit policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from a two year college or 3+ years Accounts Receivable experience.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and sales.
• Collection calls and/or correspondence in a fast-paced goal oriented accounting department.
• Provide customer service regarding collection issues, prepare customer refund and account adjustment requests, resolve discrepancies and short pays. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the financial integrity of accounts receivable accounts.
• Ensure compliance with corporate credit policies and procedures for consistent handling of collection matters and maintain good customer relations.
• Research and respond to all accounts receivable inquiries promptly.
• Communicate and follow up effectively with customers regarding accounts.
• Prepare monthly reports on condition of accounts receivable.
• Improve receivable turnover through efficient collection follow-up while maintaining favorable customer relations.
• Identify problem accounts and provide regular updates of receivables to Controller.
• Assist in developing and updating procedures as needed.
• Run sales reports from database and uploads to spreadsheet for analysis and support.
• Research and resolve transactions in the unapplied account.
• Monitor credit holds and customers’ lines of credit.
