Job summary

HD Supply Canada, Inc. is seeking a customer-accounts collector responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding balances and resolve billing problems. You will work to reduce delinquency and maintain accurate records of payments and account status.

Under supervision, you will review accounts, post receipts, and ensure timely follow-up on disputes, following defined policies and SLAs. This role is based in the United States with typical hourly compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with accounts receivable or billing processes preferred.
• Ability to resolve billing problems and reduce delinquency.
• Strong communication with customers and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Contacts customers to determine reason for overdue payment and review terms of sale, service, or credit contract.
• Receives payments and posts amount paid to customer account.
• Documents information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts.
• Reviews and monitors assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports.
• Maintains clear documentation of customer contact through the collection or dispute process.
• Ensures timely follow-up of open disputes in accordance with service level agreements.
• Resolves internal and external customer non-payment issues, invoice discrepancies, and customer payments outside of approved terms.
