Job summary

Wind River Environmental in Marlborough, MA is seeking an Accounts Receivable Collections Lead to join our Finance team on-site. This hands-on role involves managing a dedicated collections portfolio and guiding teammates to improve collection effectiveness.

You will train and coach new staff, monitor activity, and collaborate with internal departments to resolve account issues and optimize processes that support our customers and business goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounts receivable, collections, or related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of collection practices and effective account management.
• Ability to analyze collection activity, identify trends, and improve results.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned collections portfolio, working with customers to resolve outstanding balances and account issues.
• Serve as a go-to resource for Collections Specialists, providing guidance on processes, systems, and complex account situations.
• Support onboarding and training for new team members and provide ongoing coaching to existing collectors.
• Monitor collection activity, account progression, and productivity to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Review account activity and documentation to ensure collection efforts are effective and appropriately prioritized.
• Partner with the AR Supervisor to identify and address workflow challenges, training needs, and performance concerns.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer issues and improve collection processes.
