Job summary

GSM Outdoors in Irving, TX, seeks a Collections Supervisor to lead the AR Collections team, drive timely payments, and improve processes. This hands-on leadership role requires coaching colleagues while directly managing aging accounts and resolving complex issues.

You will monitor 30-, 60-, and 90+ day aging, prepare reports, and collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Customer Service to optimize cash flow and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a mid- to large-size AR collections team.
• Strong understanding of AR aging, payment terms, and reconciliations.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold team members accountable.
• Hands-on leadership with willingness to step in on collection activities when needed.
• Excellent communication with customers, management, and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and develop the AR Collections team to improve performance and achieve goals.
• Monitor daily/weekly workflows and adjust priorities as needed.
• Manage collections across top-to-bottom accounts, addressing all activity.
• Review 30-, 60-, and 90+ day aging buckets and ensure follow-up.
• Prepare bi-monthly AR aging and other collection reports for management.
• Serve as escalation point for complex customer and collections questions.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Sales, and Customer Service to resolve issues.
• Create SOPs, improve processes, and ensure adherence to controls.
