Job summary

FireTron, Inc. is seeking a highly organized Cash Application Specialist to support our Accounts Receivable function.

This role handles accurate processing of customer payments from receipt to deposit and application, ensuring postings align with remittance instructions. Responsibilities include posting payments daily, reconciling cash to bank activity, resolving unapplied payments, and collaborating with the Credit & Collections team to maintain accurate customer accounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of cash application or related experience.
• Experience processing ACH, wire, checks, lockbox, and credit card payments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to meet daily processing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Daily posting of customer payments to accounts and invoices.
• Research unapplied or unidentified payments and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile daily cash to bank deposits and AR subledger.
• Support Credit & Collections with payment information and documentation.
• Identify process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
