Job summary

Foster McKay is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage the full-cycle AR, apply cash receipts, and resolve payment discrepancies while coordinating with customers and cross-functional teams to keep aging in line with policy.

You will post cash receipts daily, research remittances and discrepancies, handle chargebacks, pursue past-due accounts, support month-end close, and contribute to process improvements. 2+ years of AR experience and strong Excel are required; SAP B1 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of AR, accounting, or related finance experience.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable principles.
• Experience researching remittances, deductions, and supporting documentation via customer portals.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; advanced Excel a plus.
• Experience with SAP Business One is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Post and apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts and maintain records.
• Research and reconcile short payments, overpayments, unapplied cash, and other discrepancies.
• Review customer remittances and supporting docs to ensure accurate cash application.
• Manage the customer chargeback process and validate claims.
• Serve as first point of contact for past-due balances and pursue collections.
• Monitor AR aging and assist with month-end close and ad hoc duties.
