Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of prior Billing and/or Customer Service experience.
• Transportation experience using McLeod Software is desired, but not required.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must have proven ability with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes duties in all aspects of the billing and collections department including billing, collections, cash posting, carrier communications and customer service.
• Communicate with sales, operations, or other relevant party regarding billing questions and rate discrepancies.
• Verify charges, order information, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Submit invoices via website portals; research and complete credit/rebills.
• Generate AR aging reports and work to reduce delinquency.
• Identify issues causing billing delays and recommend process improvements.
• EDI error resolution and setup of new customers in the accounting system.
