Job summary

Action Resources is seeking a Billing Clerk to handle billing, collections, cash posting, carrier communications and internal/external customer service. This role will contribute to the success of the billing team and the business unit by ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments.

Based in Birmingham, Alabama, the position requires 1–3 years of Billing or Customer Service experience and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with carriers and customers via in person, email, and phone in a courteous, professional manner.
• Coordinate with sales/operations on billing questions and rate discrepancies; update customer master files.
• Manage imaging queue and indexing of documents; ensure proper documentation is attached to orders.
• Process invoicing for assigned accounts; verify charges and order details meet billing requirements.
• Submit invoices through website portals and handle credit/rebill tasks.
• Work with sales to set up new customers in the accounting system and post payments.
• Generate AR aging reports and help reduce delinquency.
