Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to manage community accounts receivable. You will determine billable Medicare, Medicaid, and third‑party claims, bill private-pay residents, and reconcile daily cash activity.

You will work with community teams to ensure correct postings, monitor claim status, and support collections in alignment with policy and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Business or related field.
• 2–5 years Accounts Receivable experience.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid and third-party claims preferred.
• Proficiency with AR aging and collections processes.
• Ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Determine billable Medicare, Medicaid and all third-party claims; review and correct as needed.
• Bill residents for private pay services including monthly fees and ancillaries.
• Collaborate with Community BOMs to apply charges correctly.
• Review rate accuracy for all payers and fix misapplied rates.
• Post payments to resident accounts including payer type and service period.
• Reconcile cash deposits and applied payments daily.
• Enter new residents to be billed in the current system.
• Send collections letters per policy and guide in-person collection efforts.
• Track claim processing and resolve outstanding items.
• Post ACH payments from residents to their accounts.
