Comfort Temp Company, a Gainesville-based HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical services group, is seeking an Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist. You will manage vendor invoices, customer billing, and payments, coordinating with Purchasing, Project Management, Service, Warehouse, and Finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include invoice coding, discrepancy resolution, scheduled payments, and month-end close support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Foundation, Viewpoint, or Sage, and strong Excel skills.
• High attention to detail with high transaction volume and competing deadlines.
• Strong organization and ability to work independently.
• Professional written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices; perform two- and three-way matching to purchase orders and receipts.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain approvals from internal teams before payment deadlines.
• Prepare scheduled check, ACH, and electronic payment runs under company authorization controls.
• Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices.
• Post and reconcile customer payments and monitor aging reports to ensure timely collection.
• Resolve billing issues, chargebacks, and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer records and respond to account inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and track credits, returns, and adjustments.
• Support month-end close and audits through AP and AR reconciliations and documentation.
