Job summary

Vaco is seeking an Accounting Manager in the East Dallas area for an AR-focused leadership role. The position oversees offshore AR activities, ensuring accurate recording, proper classification, and reconciliation to the general ledger.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting with deep AR experience, including billing, cash applications, collections, adjustments, and GL reconciliation. Strong analytical and process-improvement skills are essential for month-end close and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with AR focus.
• Broad understanding of AR lifecycle including billing, cash applications, collections, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Experience reconciling subledger balances to the general ledger and researching discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AR activities performed by offshore team to ensure accuracy and proper accounting treatment.
• Review AR aging reports and monitor 31–121 day balances; coordinate collections, cash applications, and adjustments.
• Investigate discrepancies between AR aging, subledger, and GL; identify missing transactions or unapplied cash.
• Ensure AR balances tie to the GL and document/research discrepancies for timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with collections and other stakeholders to resolve outstanding balances and reconcile items.
• Maintain documentation of reconciliations, investigations, and action items for close and audit readiness.
