Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to help our swim team members improve their technique in our state-of-the-art pools, indoors and outdoors.

You will assist the Head Swim Team Coach in writing and leading group workouts, and help register participants while maintaining clean and orderly facilities. You will rely on ASCA/USA Swimming involvement, Lifeguard certification, and Life Time Swim Instructor Certification to deliver safe, high-quality practices and programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of swim coaching experience is required.
• Must be a member of ASCA.
• Must be a member of USA Swimming.
• Must successfully complete Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.
• Ability to work stationary and move about the club for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire; ongoing training required.
• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certification (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires).
• Must complete all Life Time Education job-specific requirements.
• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Offer competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique.
• Run daily practices under the head coach's direction.
• Promote Life Time products, services and programs.
