Job summary

Warren County seeks a Recreation & Aquatics Supervisor to plan, implement and supervise recreation programs, activities and facilities, including pool operations and aquatics programs.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of the principles and practices of professional recreation work.
• General knowledge of one or more phases of community activities.
• General knowledge of the equipment, facilities, operations and techniques used in comprehensive community swimming pool.
• Thorough knowledge of aquatic safety principles and use of safety/rescue equipment.
• General knowledge of concession operations and food service practices.

Responsibilities

• Schedule recreation programs, activities, events and facility use.
• Register participants and maintain records.
• Prepare reports and supervise part-time staff.
• Assist with scheduling, daily operations and training.
• Oversee pool operations: staffing, safety, water chemistry and maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance and inspections; address safety concerns.
• Promote programs through media and outreach; engage with schools and community groups.
• Work evenings and weekends; respond to issues and enforce policies.
