Warren County is seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates to fill the position of Recreation & Aquatics Supervisor. This is a full-time position that assists with the planning and implementation, and supervision of recreation programs; activities, and facilities; assists in the operation and maintenance of a swimming pool and aquatics programs.

Key responsibilities include scheduling recreation programs, activities, events and facility use, registering participants, maintaining records, and preparing reports. Supervise part-time recreation and aquatics staff, assist with scheduling and daily operations, provide ongoing training, and ensure consistent enforcement of policies and procedures. Help oversee pool operations, including staffing, safety, water chemistry, chemical inventory, filtration and water-treatment systems, equipment, and opening/closing procedures. Conduct facility and equipment inspections, address safety concerns, coordinate preventative maintenance, and take corrective action when needed. Manage recreation and pool equipment and concession inventories and supervise concession operations. Work with schools, community organizations, citizens and facility users to promote programs, address concerns, and provide quality public service. Maintain social media, promote programs through various media and public outreach, and communicate with staff and the public, including evenings and weekends. Help develop and update policies, anticipate operational needs, identify and resolve issues and encourage initiative among staff. This position requires on-call, evening, and weekend work as well as other related duties.

A successful candidate will have general knowledge of the principles and practices of professional recreation work; general knowledge of one or more phases of community activities. General knowledge of the equipment, facilities, operations and techniques used in comprehensive community swimming pool. Thorough knowledge of aquatic safety principles and use of safety/rescue equipment. General knowledge of the objectives and principles of concession operations and food service practices.

Any combination of high school, education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in recreation or related field is preferred but not required. Minimum of at least 2 years in staff supervision.

The starting salary range is $40,582.29-47,063.02, depending on qualifications and experience, and includes an excellent benefits package.
