Job summary

The City of Little Rock seeks a dedicated leader to develop and supervise aquatics programs at Jim Dailey Fitness and Aquatics Center and the University Park Senior Centre. This safety-sensitive role involves managing staff, scheduling activities, and maintaining high safety and service standards for the community.

Qualified candidates will have two years of college coursework in recreation or related field, plus aquatics program development experience and supervisory duties.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework in Recreation Administration, Physical Education, or a related area.
• Two years of experience developing and conducting aquatics programs, or a related area.
• One year of supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Must possess LGI, CPO/AFO, First-Aid/CPR instructor certifications or equivalents within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise the aquatics activities and programs at assigned locations.
• Oversee operations at Jim Dailey Fitness and Aquatics Center and Senior Centre at University Park.
• Ensure safety and program quality, including compliance with policies and procedures.
