Job summary

City of Rialto seeks an experienced aquatics supervisor to oversee indoor facility operations, lifeguards, and water safety programs. You will coordinate schedules, enforce safety rules, and lead staff in instructional activities and special events.

Responsibilities include staff evaluations, training program development, and maintaining records for safety compliance. A strong background in aquatic program management and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant aquatics program experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• California driver’s license and CPR for Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Lifeguarding, and Water Safety Instructor certifications are required or highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare staff work schedules and ensure lifeguard coverage within budget.
• Coordinate and review staff work; monitor workflow; resolve problems.
• Prepare employee evaluations and handle grievances at first level.
• Establish safety rules and control patron admissions to ensure efficient use and safety.
• Plan goals and policies for aquatic services and coordinate special events.
• Maintain training records and ensure staff certifications are up to date.
• Instruct Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructor trainings and certifications.
